Heart Resource Center

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in men and women in the United States. In fact, in South Carolina, heart disease is responsible for more than one third of deaths each year. At Spartanburg Regional, our Heart Center leads the way in providing cardiac care in the Upstate.

Recognizing the growing need for heart disease prevention, the Joe R. Utley Heart Resource Center provides reliable, accessible education and support to clients with the goal of improving overall heart health. Patients and families are able to obtain problem-specific information aimed at developing healthy lifestyles and improving quality of life.

Located in the Heart Center lobby, the resource center provides consistent access to diverse educational resources. Customized plans can be created to meet the needs of clients. Presentations can be taken to community groups and tailored to the needs of the audience (church groups, schools, etc.). The center is envisioned as a true resource to find the information needed about heart health.

How Can I Help?

The Joe R. Utley Heart Resource Center is completely supported by private donations through the Spartanburg Regional Foundation. Funds are used for educational materials, screening supplies, staffing community outreach, equipment and more. If you would like to make a donation, please contact the Foundation at 864-560-6727 or click here.
