Volunteering Time
At Spartanburg Regional, volunteers are an essential part of what we do. Volunteers contribute an added dimension of human caring. Volunteers provide a valuable link between the hospital and the community, by playing a positive role in the lives of patients, family members, visitors and hospital staff. There is no better way to touch lives than to volunteer at Spartanburg Regional, and we need you!
How can you help?
Wherever you choose to contribute, your assistance will be needed and appreciated.
Some of the capacities in which volunteers serve include:
- Greeters
- Patient Escorts
- Nursing Unit Assistants
- Waiting Room Attendants
- Gift Shop Associates
- Clerical/Administrative Associates
- Flower deliveries
When can you help?
Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday with some availability for evenings and weekends. We ask that you work four hours per week if possible; however, we will work around your schedule.
In appreciation for your time and service, we offer the following benefits:
- Complimentary meals in the cafeteria the day the volunteer works
- Uniform provided with $25 refundable deposit (the deposit will be returned upon return of uniform and hospital-issued ID badge or after completion of one year of service)

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
