Hospital Infection Rates

Hospitals around the state are reporting data regarding hospital-acquired infections to the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC). The South Carolina Hospital Infections Disclosure Act requires that certain infection data be reported to DHEC. Reports from the five-month period, July 1 – November 30, 2007, can be found by going to www.scdhec.gov.
 
DHEC has cautioned that the report, drawn from five months of data, is preliminary. A subsequent report will be issued later in 2008.
