Michael J. Orseck, M.D.

Dr. Orseck is a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body. He is a graduate of the aesthetic plastic surgery training program at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital of New York University. He continued his training in reconstructive surgery at the Medical College of Georgia. Upon completion of medical school and surgical training, he joined Spartanburg Regional.
 
Dr. Orseck currently serves as chief of the plastic surgery division of Spartanburg Regional, and the only physician in the Upstate offering microsurgical breast reconstruction. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons in addition to other regional, national and international medical societies. With numerous publications and awards, Dr. Orseck continues to devote his time to teaching surgeons-in-training and supporting the community through lectures and free screenings.

Shawn Birchenough, M.D.

Shawn Birchenough, M.D.

Dr. Birchenough is a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in breast and cosmetic surgery. A graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine, he also completed an integrated six-year residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Virginia, learning all areas of the specialty.
 
He worked with G. Patrick Maxwell, M.D., in Nashville,Tenn., on an elective, year-long fellowship in aesthetic surgery and breast reconstruction. Here, he learned innovative procedures while refining techniques in breast and cosmetic surgery, particularly in revisionary breast surgery.
Dr. Birchenough is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the South Carolina Society of Plastic Surgeons, as well as other regional, national and international societies. He has published on various plastic surgery topics and enjoys opportunities to help educate surgeons-in-training and the community.
 
Having recently joined Magnolia Plastic Surgery, Dr. Birchenough is seeing new patients in Spartanburg and Greer.
