Palmetto Pediatrics - West provides comprehensive, expert care for newborns, babies and children up to 18 years old. Our services include:
- ADD treatment
- After-hours pediatric call center
- Well child appointments
- Assessment and management of acute and chronic illnesses
- Education and counseling related to normal childhood growth and development, safety, nutrition and behavior issues
- Immunizations
- Lab and X-ray facility
- Separate well and sick waiting area
Palmetto Pediatrics–West uses electronic medical records (EMR). EMR enhances patient care as well as convenience. Through EMR, our physicians are able to instant¬ly transmit prescriptions to the pharmacy of your choice during your visit and have access to records from other visits to physicians in the Spartanburg Regional Physician Group.
Well Child Visits
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends regularly scheduled checkups. These checkups, usually called “well baby” or “well child” visits, give our physicians a chance to observe and assess your child’s health and development, and give you a chance to have questions or concerns addressed. Parents should schedule appointments for well visits as follows:
- One to two weeks of age
- Two months*
- Four months*
- Six months*
- Nine months
- 12 months*
- 15 months*
- 18 months
- Annually until the age of 18
*Vaccinations are scheduled at this visit
