About Surgical Oncology at Gibbs

Richard Orr, M.D. Barry Hird, M.D. and Christophe Nguyen, M.D. are fellowship-trained surgical oncologists with years of experience in the management of breast disease, thyroid and parathyroid disease, lung cancer, melanoma and other complex cancer cases.

Each surgeon has completed a Society of Surgical Oncology-approved fellowship and is credentialed by the MD Anderson Network through Gibbs Cancer Center.

Each surgeon specializes in a relatively narrow area, which allows him to devote the time and expertise to each patient as an individual, always treating patients with dignity, compassion and courtesy.

Because of the limited nature of the practice, our surgeons stay up to date on the latest techniques and multidisciplinary treatment modalities. Surgical Oncology at Gibbs is the leader in the local oncology community and well-respected on a national level.
