Christopher A. Smith, M.D.

Christopher A. Smith, M.D.

Dr. Smith received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center, where he was chief resident. Dr. Smith is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has been a family physician for more than 10 years. His interests include preventive care and management of chronic diseases, including hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol and asthma, as well as the treatment of adult and adolescent acne. He is also interested in the identification and treatment of attention deficit disorder for all ages.

Dr. Smith is available for well-child exams, sports physicals, minor skin procedures, Pap smears and adult yearly exams. He is passionate about quality healthcare delivered in an efficient and evidenced-based manner and enjoys time with his wife and children, involvement in his local community and church, traveling, photography, and all things Disney.

E. G. "Nick" Ulmer, Jr., M.D.

Dr. Ulmer received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina after completing undergraduate school at Clemson University. He completed his residency in family medicine at Self Regional Healthcare. He has extensive experience in both outpatient and inpatient care with a career that includes 10 years of obstetrics. He is interested in the patient’s needs with a focus on chronic disease management and prevention. He loves the broad scope of family medicine but has special interests in adolescent medicine, minor surgery and wellness.

Since 2000, Dr. Ulmer has actively participated in the business aspects of medicine as a consultant to hospitals and medical groups in the eastern US. He currently speaks nationally on various topics in this field. He enjoys the outdoors, spending time with his wife and daughter, and is an active leader in his local church.

Jan Kneeland, M.D.

Jan Kneeland, M.D., received her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio. She completed her residency in family medicine at Marshall University School of Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Kneeland speaks Spanish, has traveled extensively and is passionate about medical missions. She loves the variety of patients she is able to see as a family physician and enjoys helping her patients take control of their own health by educating them, encouraging preventive health care and helping patients to meet their long-term health goals.

Village Family Medicine offers care to the whole family, from well-child exams to treatment of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, heart disease, high cholesterol, as well as the treatment of adult and adolescent acne. Village Family Medicine is experienced in the identification and treatment of attention deficit disorder for all ages. Same-day appointments are available for acute illnesses such as respiratory and urinary tract infections, stomach upsets and other urgent problems.
