Lifeline

Lifeline is a 24-hour monitoring service that connects individuals to their family, neighbors and emergency services in the community. It gives the person the confidence to live in their homes alone. It also gives family members peace of mind when leaving loved ones alone.

Lifeline is monitored 24-hours a day, 365 days a year by the Nurses at Upstate Teleservices. Quick response by Lifeline has been known to reduce the number of days spent in the hospital due to a fall or emergency, and has saved lives.

The person wears a lightweight, waterproof necklace, wristband or watch that sends a signal that calls the nurses at Regional Nurse-On-Call. The help button has a range of 750 yards.

Lifeline is affordable with no purchase of equipment and no contract. There is a charge of $36 for activation, and $36 monthly fee for monitoring. Medicaid will pay if the person qualifies for the Community Long Term Care  (CLTC) and is left alone much of the time.

Installation in the home takes approximately 45 minutes, and often involves help in obtaining other needed hospital and community services.

Referrals for Lifeline Services may be made by calling 864-560-3855 and provide the interested parties name and phone number. Lifeline serves subscribers in Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union counties and parts of Polk County.
