Equipment
Along with the general rehabilitation equipment used to maximize a patient’s skills, Regional Rehabilitation Services at Main Campus location is excited to offer specialized equipment to assist with progression in therapy.
• Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) Bicycles: These bicycles, which were purchased through grants given by the Spartanburg Regional Foundation, provide electrical stimulation into muscles to allow full cycling motions of the arms and/or legs to increase strength and function.
• Biodex Gait Trainer: A treadmill, purchased through a grant from the Spartanburg Regional Foundation, with a harness system to allow patients who may not be able to stand independently to begin working to put weight into their legs to work toward walking.
• SAEBO: A specialized hand splint training system for patients with only minimal movement in the hand to allow work toward using their hand functionally.
• Wii: The Wii game system which is used to improve functional skills in the arms and legs.
