Birth Consultant

Pregnancy is a very exciting time but it can be a bit overwhelming with all the preparation that needs to be done. New parents have to find a hospital and physician to fit their needs, take preparation classes, ask the necessary health questions and know their birthing options. That’s why Spartanburg Regional is offering new moms the opportunity to meet with Colleen Gilmore, Birth Consultant at the Center for Women.

Colleen has been a registered nurse working with women and children at Spartanburg Regional for over 25 years. She has worked with many women and their partners in various preparation classes and knows first hand how to help expectant parents during pregnancy and beyond. Women can call or email Colleen to discuss their individual needs during this very special time.

Colleen will be able to provide information on various topics including available physicians, educational classes and resources available at Spartanburg Regional and will personally give a tour of the obstetrical unit. If a woman wants to breastfeed, contact information for our Lactation Consultant will be provided. The best part is that women will be able to talk by phone or meet with Colleen personally to discuss any questions that come up throughout their pregnancy.
