Integrative Medicine: A Focus on Your Whole Health

Good health and wellness aren't just about a strong, healthy body. It's about a healthy balance between your mind, body and spirit. The Center for Integrative Medicine at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System helps you find that balance through clinical programs that focus on your whole health and empower you to live your best life possible.

Our programs use integrative therapies, also known as complementary therapies. Integrative therapies don't replace traditional medicine, which treats physical issues of an illness or disease. Our therapies focus on the emotional symptoms of a disease, illness or the stresses of everyday life, which research shows can affect your body's ability to heal and stay well. Integrative therapies complement conventional treatments to help:

  • Reduce anxiety, depression and stress
  • Ease pain from chronic conditions like arthritis and fibromyalgia
  • Relieve side effects of treatments such as chemotherapy
  • Improve sleep

Brainwave Optimization

Emotional and physical stress can overwhelm your brain, moving it out of balance and affecting your mind-body health. Brainwave Optimization is a non-invasive treatment that uses advanced technology to help your brain reset and find its optimal balance. The result is better overall wellness, including less stress, improved focus and memory, and better sleep.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is an ancient practice that uses touch to improve health and well-being by:

  • Relieving pain
  • Reducing stress
  • Improving circulation
  • Increasing flexibility
  • Releasing muscular tension

Our therapists use a variety of techniques to promote healing.
