Additional Information

Hobbies – Watching tennis, movies, reading, trying out new foods/restaurants, and driving the kids where they are supposed to be!

Care philosophy – Reaching a desired successful outcome requires input and cooperation between the physician, the patient and the patient’s families.

What I tell patients – We need to be physically healthy to achieve our own goals, and be there for those who depend on us. Patients need to be empowered to do more than just “get by.” We should aim for and achieve a better quality of life.

Years in practice – In Spartanburg since 2000.

Career in medicine – As a child, I had always looked up to the general practitioner in our neighborhood. It was awesome to see that he could make sick people feel better. He was definitely a role model and influenced my decision to pursue a career in medicine.

Why I love to practice medicine – As a young child and a patient, I experienced the magical feeling that comes from getting better and being cured. I now experience it from the other side, and that feels even better! That I can make someone breathe better, that I can help relieve someone’s misery, that I can help someone avoid a life-threatening condition, it makes me feel useful and productive.  Practicing medicine is definitely more than just a job or making money.
