Family Medicine Residency: Clinics

The Spartanburg Center for Family Medicine

Thirty-two of our thirty-six residents have their Family Medicine Clinics here. As an intern, you can expect two Family Medicine Center half days per week. We treat everything from newborns to geriatrics. Minor procedures are performed by our residents with attending supervision including skin biopsies, colposcopies, nasolaryngoscopies, and vasectomies.

We're located on the fifth floor of the Regional Outpatient Center, directly attached to Spartanburg Medical Center.

The Chesnee Center for Family Medicine

The CCFM is a rural clinic site overseen by Dr. Margaret Davis where three residents from each of the second and third year classes can train. All residents may elect to do a rural medicine month in Chesnee as well.

We treat pediatrics, geriatrics, general medicine and prenatal care. We perform many office procedures including splinting/casting, lacerations, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, excisions of small lesions, and nasolaryngoscopy. We have a small lab and perform x-rays in our office. As is the case in the Center for Family Medicine in Spartanburg, we use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for all patient care.
