Spartanburg Regional Foundation Celebrates Patient Transformation During 4th Annual Wings of Hope

Spartanburg Regional Foundation will host its fourth annual Wings of Hope Butterfly Release from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, in the Bearden-Josey Center for Breast Health Garden.

The event is symbolic in nature as the more than 150 butterflies will represent the life changes faced by individuals battling illnesses.

“Butterflies are a symbol of hope and transformation, ” said Kristy Caradori, Executive Director of the Foundation. “They provide a powerful visual reminder of individuals who have survived incredible illnesses, those still in the midst of their own battles, and loved ones we want to remember.”

While admission is free, there are two donation levels available to honor or memorialize a loved one or friend:

A $30 donation includes one butterfly in the general butterfly release with the person’s name listed in the Honors and Memorials section of future Foundation publications.

A $100 donation includes a butterfly for individual release in honor or memory of a friend or family members. The honor/ memorial name will be printed on the release envelope and will be listed in the Honors and Memorials section of future Foundation publications.

Proceeds from the event will be used exclusively by the Foundation to support its cancer, hospice and heart education programs. The deadline for donations is September 6.
