Spartanburg Regional Foundation gives back during the holidays

Two events benefit Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home

As the holidays approach, Spartanburg Regional Foundation’s annual Festival of Trees celebration helps brighten the holidays while making a positive influence on families the community.

The Spartanburg Regional Foundation will unveil its Festival of Trees Display at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2 at the Spartanburg Marriott at Renaissance Park. For $40, attendees can enjoy a cocktail party before taking in Dickens of a Christmas and other downtown Spartanburg festivities. All proceeds from this event benefit the Spartanburg Regional Hospice. Tickets can be reserved by calling 864-560-6979.

Light Up a Life Tree Lighting, held on Wednesday, December 10, at 3 p.m. or 7 p.m., is held at Spartanburg Regional Hospice for family and friends to remember loved ones. For each donation made, a light will be placed on the Tree of Memory. The ceremony will be held at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, located at 686 Jeff Davis Drive. All donors attending the ceremony will receive a remembrance ornament. For more information or to make a donation, call 864-560-6979.

Holiday Wish List

Give a gift and shop from our Holiday Wish List now through December 31. Donate a grocery or gas card to help Hospice patient families or provide patient medication assistance. Whether it is $15 or $500, your donation will make a positive impact on a family this season.

Donations can be made toward the following:

•$15 provides a HoldingCross™ for a patient

•$30 provides a gas/grocery cards to help Hospice patients' families

•$55 provides a warm, holiday meal from Wade’s to be delivered to Hospice patients and families

•$75 provides Christopher's Camp for one child

•$100 provides an outing for a family

•$200 provides a memorial brick to be placed at Hospice Home in memory of a loved one

•$300 provides patient medication assistance

•$500 provides assistance for Hospice patients’ utility bills and household expenses

•$1,000 purchases rolling beds for our Hospice Home patient rooms so family can stay overnight

•$2,000 assists with sitter and support services for Hospice patients and families

•$5,000 adopts a patient room at Hospice Home for one year
