Gaffney Physicians Join Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, Medical Group of the Carolinas

GAFFNEY, SC– Six physicians from Peachview Family Medicine of Gaffney joined Medical Group of the Carolinas (MGC), a division of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System (SRHS), on January 31.

The name of the practice will be Medical Group of the Carolinas – Family Medicine – Peachview and the address and phone number will remain the same. MGC – Family Medicine – Peachview is located at 722 Hyatt Street, Gaffney, SC.

“Our well-established medical group is joining Medical Group of the Carolinas,” said Richard Ruffing, M.D. “Our physicians have served the Gaffney community at this location since 1996 and this alignment with Medical Group of the Carolinas will allow us to better serve the community.”

The physicians practicing at the MGC – Family Medicine – Peachview office are:

Frank Barnhill, M.D. – received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He completed his family medicine residency at Spartanburg Medical Center. Dr. Barnhill is board certified in family medicine.

Susan Bland, M.D. – received her medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, where she also completed a residency in family medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, South Carolina Academy of Family Physicians and Christian Medical and Dental Association. Dr. Bland is board certified in family medicine.

Todd Morgan, M.D. – received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, SC. He completed a family medicine residency at Greenville Health System in Greenville, SC. Dr. Morgan is board certified in family medicine.

Doshandra Nelson, M.D. – received her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. She completed her family medicine residency at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial in Muncie, IN. Dr. Nelson is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians and South Carolina Academy of Family Physicians. She is board certified in family medicine.

Richard Ruffing, M.D. – received his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He completed a family medicine residency at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, MI. Dr. Ruffing is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and South Carolina Academy of Family Physicians. He is board certified in family medicine.

Charles P. Stroup, M.D. – received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He completed a family medicine residency at Spartanburg Medical Center. Dr. Stroup is a member of the South Carolina Medical Society. He is board certified in family medicine.
