Medical Group of the Carolinas, Spartanburg Regional Welcome New Physicians

Medical Group of the Carolinas (MGC) continues to grow and expand, bringing new specialties and primary care to the community.

In 2014, MGC added more than 40 new physicians and opened six new practices. Twenty hospitalists and emergency medicine physicians, 15 primary care physicians and eight specialists also joined MGC, the physician group affiliated with Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. Each physician brings their own unique expertise to their specialty; ranging from orthopaedic trauma, pediatrics to family medicine.

MGC continues to add physicians and expand in the Upstate.  Most recently the medical group added 40 new physicians and enhanced the primary and urgent care  medical offerings of the service area in the Upstate. Specialties include:

Medical Group of the Carolinas is a group of more than 300 physicians in more than 22 specialties and primary care, serving 11 counties. Originally named the Spartanburg Regional Physician Group, the Medical Group of the Carolinas (MGC) offers five OB/GYN practices at six locations for women’s health. MGC also offers two pediatric practices, and 16 family medicine and internal medicine practices throughout the Carolinas. MGC has locations throughout the region including Spartanburg, Greer, Chesnee, Boiling Springs and Duncan. Eighteen of the practices have been recognized as Physician Practice Connections-Patient Centered Medical Homes.
