Spartanburg Regional Foundation Gives Back During the Holidays

Event benefits Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home

The holidays can be difficult for those who have lost a loved one. Spartanburg Regional Foundation’s Light Up a Life tree lighting will be held on Tuesday, December 8, at 3 and 7 p.m.

The Light Up a Life tree lighting is an annual fundraising and candle-lighting service held in remembrance of individuals who have passed away.

“The holidays are a time when we think back on family memories and loved ones,” said Kristy Caradori, executive director of the Spartanburg Regional Foundation. “The Foundation’s Light Up a Life tree lighting is a beautiful way to remember those who are no longer with us.”

For each donation made, a light will be placed on the Tree of Memory at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. The candle-lighting ceremony will be held at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, located at 686 Jeff Davis Drive, with a reception following the event. All donors attending the ceremony will receive a remembrance ornament, and biodegradable balloons shaped like doves will be released.

Contributions made by donors to the Spartanburg Regional Foundation will go towards the Hospice Special Needs Fund, which provides financial assistance to hospice patients in need and supports program enhancements such as bereavement services.

Families of former Spartanburg Regional Hospice patients are also invited to the event to honor their loved ones.
