Two New Internal Medicine Practices Announced in Spartanburg

Medical Group of the Carolinas Now Serves Eastside and Westside


SPARTANBURG, SC, July 1, 2014 – Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System announces that two new Medical Group of the Carolinas internal medicine practices are now open in Spartanburg. Medical Group of the Carolinas – Internal Medical – Eastside and Medical Group of the Carolinas – Internal Medical – Westside offer complete internal healthcare services for adults.


Medical Group of the Carolinas – Internal Medical – Eastside has offices at 118 Dillon Drive in Spartanburg. New patients can schedule an appointment by calling 560-9057
The physicians practicing at the Eastside office are:


PhotoSuzanne D. Kovaks, M.D. – received her medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y., internship and residency at Duke University Medical Center. 

Thomas L. Robinson, M.D. - received his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C., and completed his residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. 

Paul Weaver, M.D. - received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, and completed his internship and residency at Greenville Health System. He is on the Board of Directors with Spartanburg County Medical Association.

Medical Group of the Carolinas – Internal Medical – Westside has offices at 8311 Warren H. Abernathy Highway in Spartanburg. New patients can schedule an appointment by calling 560-9436
The physicians at the Westside office are:

Victoria A. Arlauskas, M.D. - received her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA., and completed her residency at Duke University Medical Center.

Jack M. Cole, M.D. - received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, N.C., and completed his internship and residency at Indiana University Hospitals and Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN.

Jim Evans, M.D. - received his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C., and completed his internship and residency at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.

The physicians in both offices are board certified in internal medicine. Medical Group of the Carolinas includes a large number of primary care and specialty practices at convenient locations throughout Upstate South Carolina.
