Minimally Invasive Robotic Surgery for Lung Procedures, Lung Cancer in South Carolina

Spartanburg Regional provides minimally invasive robotic surgery to treat early lung cancer and benign lung diseases.

Traditionally, a large, painful incision called a thoracotomy was used to treat stage 1 and stage 2 lung cancer patients.  Now, with the use of robot-assisted technology and video assisted thoracic surgery (VATS or thoracoscopy), patients and thoracic surgical oncologists at Spartanburg Regional have other options for treating lung cancer and performing lung surgery.
