Bearden-Josey Expands Mammography Services to Serve More Women in the Community
A new mammography location makes it easier and more convenient for women in our community to detect breast cancer in its earliest stages.
On June 22, the Bearden-Josey Center for Breast Health, part of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, is opening a satellite mammography location, Bearden-Josey Center for Breast Health – Westside, located at 8311 Warren Abernathy Hwy in Spartanburg near Target.
“Our new Westside location will provide another convenient option for women in our community to get their mammograms,” said Mary Mabry, Director of Bearden-Josey Center for Breast Health. “Women are often too busy working and taking care of their families to remember their yearly mammogram. Our goal is to make it easier for women to get a mammogram so they can take care of themselves as well.”
The Bearden-Josey Center for Breast Health uses advanced digital mammography that can identify tumors too small to be felt during a physical or self-exam, a vital part of saving lives through early detection. All mammograms performed at any of our locations are read by physicians with specialty training in breast imaging. Each Bearden-Josey location mirrors the advanced screening techniques and patient-centered philosophy found at the fully accredited Bearden-Josey Center for Breast Health located on the campus of Spartanburg Medical Center.
