Pelham Medical Center Welcomes Primary Stroke Medical Director
Neurologist John Pilch, MD, joins Medical Group of the Carolinas
When a patient suffers from a stroke, having an expert neurologist is key to their recovery. That’s why Medical Group of the Carolinas’ (MGC) latest addition, John Pilch, MD, joined the team in late 2015. Dr. Pilch provides top-notch neurological care in a practice setting, and is the medical director for Pelham Medical Center’s Primary Stroke Center, the only certified stroke center in Greer.
Dr. Pilch joins Medical Group of the Carolinas—Neurology—Pelham, specializing in diagnose and treating disorders of the central nervous system such as headache, seizure, stroke, dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
“When a patient suffers from a seizure, stroke or another disorder of the central nervous system, it’s crucial that they receive quick medical attention,” Dr. Pilch said. “I look forward to helping improve the lives of patients with these medical disorders and helping make a difference in the Greer community.”
Dr. Pilch received his medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and completed his residency at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, where he served as chief resident in neurology. Dr. Pilch also completed a fellowship in neurophysiology and is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology. He is a board certified Family Medicine Physician Diplomat and a member of the American Board of Neurology and Psychology.
