Option 2 (alternate): NP swab submitted in charcoal-containing transport media
Option 3 (alternate): NP/throat swab submitted in universal transport media (UTM)
Option 4 (alternate): NP wash/aspirate submitted in sterile container

This is not the test for B. pertussis culture. The collection and order is separate from this test. Call lab for collection kit and instructions.
Specimens are sent Mon-Sat. only. No Sundays or holidays.
This test includes Bordetella parapertussis also.
