When you come for cancer treatment to any of our five infusion centers in Upstate South Carolina, you can expect a warm welcome. You and your family become part of our family as we treat your cancer and support you through the challenges that come with it.
Many chemotherapy treatments require several hours per session and are administered at an infusion center. An infusion center can perform other services, such as giving blood transfusions, chemotherapy pills, immunotherapy (medicines that trigger your immune system to attack your cancer) and targeted therapy medicines that target a particular type of cancer.
With infusion centers in Spartanburg, Cherokee, Union, Pelham and North Grove, we want to keep you close to home so that you can receive our expert level of care in your own community.
For your convenience, we have a retail pharmacy window on the second floor near the infusion center at the Gibbs Cancer Center in Spartanburg that will prepare your medicines, ensure precise dosages and answer any questions you may have. You can even purchase over-the-counter medications while you are there.
During your infusion treatment, you will have your own private space to read, watch television or listen to music.
In addition to providing the most effective chemotherapies for your cancer, we aggressively treat any negative side effects you may experience with anti-nausea medication, pain medication, cold cap therapy and intravenous hydration.
