School-Based Telehealth

School-based telehealth allows local schools to deliver a range of healthcare services to its students. In partnership with the South Carolina Telehealth Alliance, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System has started providing these services. The service provides improved access to medical services for students, without requiring students to travel to outside facilities. School-based telehealth allows students to be treated for a variety of injuries and illnesses including:

  • Cold and flu
  • Fever
  • Strep throat
  • Asthma
  • Lice
  • Pinkeye
  • Rashes
  • Earaches
  • Sprains and strains

All students at partner schools are eligible for the school-based telehealth services. Our current partner schools are:

  • Cleveland Academy

These services can increase classroom time for students, reduce absenteeism and provide access to care for students who otherwise would not receive it.
