Coombs-Direct, Direct Antiglobulin Test (DAT)
Whole Blood, Plasma, Serum, or Cord Blood (Neonates only)
6.0 ml Pink – EDTA (preferred) 4.0 ml Lavender – EDTA Neonates: EDTA cord blood or 500 ul lavender microtainer
Max: 6.0 ml whole blood EDTA Min: Adults - 2.0 ml whole blood EDTA Neonates* – EDTA cord blood specimen or 500 ul lavender microtainer

Missing patient identification
Direct Coombs. If positive and the patient has been transfused or pregnant within the past 3 months an elution and eluate identification shall be performed unless already resulted in past 30 days.
Solid Phase, Column Agglutination Technology, or Tube method
