Collection Instructions

Collect first voided urine- do not clean prior to collection.
Collect "dirty" urine. First voided.
Patient should not have voided within last hour prior to collection

20-60ml urine

Do not use swabs other than collection kit.

Special instructions for urine specimen collection.
GC/CT Specimens should be first voided "dirty" urine.
Urine Culture and UA specimens should be midstream clean catch.

Excessive lubricants or vaginal cream, foams may affect results.
