Additional Information

•  If Plasma is removed, must be stored in Plastic tubes. 
•  Will only be performed if PTT is abnormal.

Patient Preparation

none

Specimen Processing Instructions

Centrifuge at 3380 rpm’s (±100) for 5 minutes.  If not performed immediately, remove plasma into a plastic tube and refrigerate.

Specimen Stability

Refrigerated Plasma: 4 hours

•  Clotted Sample 
•  Insufficient volume
