Patient Preparation

Overnight fasting is preferred. Refrain from taking vitamin C supplements or fruits 24 hours prior to sample collection.

Specimen Processing Instructions

 Once in the lab,separate serum or plasma from cells as soon as possible. Protect from light (place in amber tube) and freeze immediately.
