WBC Stool, Lactoferrin, Fecal WBC, Fecal Polys, Fecal Leukocytes,
Clean leak proof container
Liquid specimens (preferrred) or semi-solid feces in clean leak proof container.
Do not submit specimens in preservatives or fixatives.
Specimen Processing Instructions
Up to 2 weeks refrigerate (2-8 deg C). Greater than 2 weeks freeze -20 deg C
Contaminated specimens with urine, barium. Fecal swabs. Stools in preservatives or fixatives.
Detection of elevated levels of lactoferrrin in stool.
Daily (1st and 2nd shift)
