Make a Hospice Donation

As a nonprofit agency, Spartanburg Regional Hospice has a policy of serving all eligible persons, regardless of the ability to pay for care. For patients who have no health insurance, a financial assessment is completed to determine ability to pay and to establish a payment schedule.

The Hospice Medicare Benefit and the Hospice Medicaid Benefit provide comprehensive coverage for services related to a life-limiting illness, and most of these charges are covered at 100 percent for the patient. Most private insurers also provide coverage for hospice care. However, the reimbursement received by Spartanburg Regional Hospice from Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance does not fully cover the cost of care provided by Spartanburg Regional Hospice.
