Athletes have the choice of training in team, small group or individualized sessions. Whether you’re a young athlete looking to better your skills in a specific sport or an elite athlete, you’ll train with the same coaches, on the same equipment and in the same facility.
Coaches first measure speed, strength and agility, tracking the athlete’s progress through regular testing. A video analysis system allows athletes to see their progress and helps coaches analyze the individual’s athletic improvements. Each athlete’s goal may be different but all will achieve tangible results.
Parents of younger athletes will be happy to know their children are learning a healthy lifestyle, gaining strength and endurance, and building self-esteem and social skills.
The Sports Nutrition program provides athletes with comprehensive, individualized, one-on-one nutrition counseling with a registered dietitian. Our nutrition experts focus on health, wellness, and improving athletic fitness and performance through diet and lifestyle modification.
The program starts with an initial visit to assess the athlete’s current diet, as well as discussion about their fitness routine and goals. Information will be given about weight gain, weight loss or weight maintenance depending on specific needs.
Initial visits can be followed with meal planning where our dietitians work with athletes to develop effective, custom meal plans tailored to their lifestyle and desired results.
Our nutrition experts also offer metabolic testing, which can be used alone, or in combination with other nutrition counseling services. Metabolic testing is used as a tool to assist people who want to lose, gain, or maintain weight; as well as those wishing to improve their overall health and fitness level.
Our registered dietitians also offer group presentations about a wide variety of diet and nutrition topics, including how to eat when traveling for a game, effective snacking, supplement planning and more.
Velocity Sports Performance coaches are degreed and certified. The coaches understand the psychology behind the training. Not only do coaches push the athletes, they use effective training techniques using positive reinforcement and other methods that cater to each athlete’s individual learning style.
