2020 Occupational Health & Wellness Symposium: Solving the Rubik’s Cube

  • Join us Friday March 6, 2020 at the SMC Heart Center at 380 Serpentine Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303
  • Registration starts at 8:00 am
  • The program starts promptly at 8:25, wrapping up at 4:00 pm
  • Nurses/Others will receive 6.25 CE
  • Pharmacy (ACPE) Credit approved for 1.0 contact hour
  • Ticket Fees: $75 General Registration, $65 SRHS Associates & AOHP Members, $15 for ACPE Credit, and $25 late fee after March 2, 2020
  • Tickets Fees include:on-line handout materials, lunch, refreshments and certificate of attendance
  • No refunds but substitutions are accepted within the year of 2020

Target Audience: Nurses, Nurse Practitioner, PTs, OTs, Wellness Coordinator, Workers’ Compensation/Occupational Health Professionals, HR staff and Other interested Healthcare Professionals

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Strategies to help keep workers safe and healthy can be complex like solving a Rubik’s Cube. All sides of the puzzle must be solved to create the whole solution. This program will educate occupational health professionals on portions of the puzzle that help prevent injuries, promote a culture of safety and wellness, while maintaining regulatory compliance.

LEARNING OUTCOMES: Upon completion of this program, the participant will be able to:

1. Describe recommendations for compliance with ADA, OSHA, CDC, and DHEC for medical exams, record-keeping and TB testing.

2. Identify strategies to promote a culture of wellness in workers.

3. Explore methods to prevent injury and return workers to duty through essential function testing and conditioning programs.

4. Verbalize the challenges that the opioid epidemic poses to keeping workers safe.
