About

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a common type of arthritis affects 32 million Americans and is the second leading cause of disability in the US.

Medical Group of the Carolinas - Radiation Oncology - Pelham has implemented the use of low-dose radiation therapy (LDRT) for osteoarthritis. Low-dose radiation therapy is a safe, non-invasive treatment that uses very small doses of radiation to relieve pain and inflammation caused by osteoarthritis (OA).

During this lunch and learn, Dr. Dan Fried, radiation oncologist, will answer common questions about LDRT, share about other benign conditions that can be treated with LDRT and help determine who should consider this type of treatment.
