Additional Information

Describe your care philosophy:  "'If it is concerning to you, it is concerning to me…'  For parents, many issues can be concerning, from a scraped knee to a bug bite to behavior problems, fevers, and much more. There is so much medical information and misinformation available today. I don’t want parents to sit at home and worry about what is going on with their child. We can discuss and evaluate the issue to bring parents peace of mind and knowledge to manage their concerns in the best way possible. I want you to be able to watch your child grow up healthy and happy!"

What do you say to your patients to inspire them to strive for a healthier life?  "Eat healthy, play and exercise every day, wear your seatbelt, and mind Mommy and Daddy!"

Why do you love to practice medicine? "I love watching my patients grow! It is an honor and privilege to be allowed to care for someone’s most treasured possession in life. I appreciate the opportunity to guide parents in making decisions that keep their children healthy and happy. I truly love coming to work every day to take care of my patients and heal their boo-boos!"

Why did you pursue a career in medicine? "I chose to become a pediatrician after going to Guatemala on a medical mission trip in college. I saw how very blessed we are in the U.S. to have medications and immunizations and access to basic medical care. I am so blessed to be able to use the talents God has given me to care for my patients each day, and medical missions will always be dear to my heart."
