Additional Information

What are your favorite hobbies? “I love spending time with my family (hubby, 3 boys, 1 dog), photography, home improvement and mission trips.”

What is your care philosophy? “I strive to give patients the tools they need to manage their medical problems. It’s not just about medications but about lifestyles, responsibility and regard for their own health. Good health is a team effort!”

What do you say to inspire patients to strive for a healthier life? “Set goals and find inspiration to help you achieve those goals. Your doctor should act as your coach, assistant and biggest cheerleader.”

How many years have you been practicing:  15

Why do you love medicine?  “For me, it’s the ability to combine my skills, knowledge and love of learning with my compassion for people who are hurting. I especially love family medicine because of the relationships that develop over the years. I get to care for the entire family, from infants to geriatrics.”

Why did you pursue a career in medicine?  “My initial goal was international medical missions. I participated in an International Health Track as part of my residency and have traveled extensively. Although I still love international missions, I have found that there is much to be done right here to relieve suffering and the many problems and barriers people face in their pursuit of good health.”
