"During medical school I had the opportunity to spend a month as an Acting Intern at Spartanburg Regional Family Medicine Residency.  During that time, I was amazed and excited with the experience, interacting with faculty, residents, staff and the technology/resources of the hospital.  The faculty and staff are passionately enthusiastic about teaching both the Art and Science of Medicine to their residents and can be easily approached.  Residents are treated as colleagues, a vital member of the healthcare team and the FM program is greatly respected by the hospital.  SRHS is a state-of-the art facility, ranked #1 in South Carolina and voted top 100 hospitals in the USA.  Spartanburg Regional is located a few hours from beautiful SC beaches, the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains, in an inviting temperature climate, with a unique southern culture.  I highly encourage future doctors spending a month, rotation or even a day with us to see what SRHS Family Medicine is all about!"

"When my rural Oklahoma Family Medicine program closed suddenly during my intern year, I feared I wouldn't find a replacement for my original number one program, but luckily I found Spartanburg! It met and exceeded all my wishes in a friendly medicine residency, a true #1! Unopposed primary care, full spectrum care, multiple fellowship opportunities and great comradery makes this a great place to develop a equality family medicine physician. I feel incredibly blessed that they welcomed my transfer. I'm a happy and thriving resident and glad to call Spartanburg my home."
