Collection Instructions

This specimen must be collected Post Partum.   Recommended to be drawn 1-3 hour post partum to catch the largest number of circulating fetal cells within the maternal circulation.  Test is ordered as a timed test 2 hours post delivery.

Max:  6.0 ml whole blood EDTA 
Min:  1.0 ml whole blood EDTA          
 

Additional Information

This test is ordered when an admission Type & Screen was ordered/performed prior to delivery.  It only orders the post partum Rhogam Screen.

Missing patient identification.  
Not a post partum specimen. 
Patient is not Rh negative. 
Patient has already been isoimmunized.
