Critical Value

WBC = <2,000/cu mm and >50,000/cu mm;  Hematocrit = <15% and >60%;   Hematocrit if <4 weeks of age = >75%; Hematocrit if <6 months of age = <25% and >60%;   Hemoglobin = <5 g/dl and  >20 g/dl; Platelet Count = <30,000 cu mm and >1,000,000 cu mm
