Why Spartanburg Regional? Coming from the northeast United States, I rotated here as a fourth-year medical student, after searching for strong community programs for general surgery. The quality of training and caliber of residents at Spartanburg Regional were unlike anything I had seen at other hospitals. I truly believe this program is the best community general surgery residency, not in just the southeastern United States, but in the whole country.

Why Spartanburg Regional? I chose Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System because of its great reputation and the outreach from their residents and faculty. The acuity of care also drew me in, I wanted to be somewhere with high level trauma center. Spartanburg is also a great city and I'm excited to live here.

Why Spartanburg Regional? All of my interactions with the program director, residents and staff were great! They are polite and eager to help. Above all, they are honest. I look forward to joining this community. Other than the general surgery program, we know that South Carolina is a great place to live and raise a family. My wife and I are excited to move with our two boys and enjoy the south.
