If your doctor suspects you might have osteoporosis — a loss in bone mass due to aging — you may be asked to have a bone density exam so that you can take preventive or corrective measures.
We also offer a bone density screening called bone densitometry. This test measures the mineral density of specific bones to assess your risk of fractures, arthritis and injury from falls.
A doctor’s referral is required for a bone density test.
